Going Mobile

One of the best features of Going to Google Apps for Education is how well it works with mobile devices. Please see below of for instructions on how to set up your Android, Apple (iOS) or Blackberry  device to your your new email, calendar and other K12coffee services. You can also set up your phone to get SMS(text) messages from your calendar for things like reminders. To see how to do that, please click here.

Android- To set up an Android device do the following:
>Go to the devices settings area- (on a phone, usually the most left button at the bottom)
>Choose Settings
>Scroll until you see Accounts (may be at the top) and select
>choose Add Account
>Choose Google or Gmail as the Account type
>Choose Next and then Sign in (you k12account is already created)
>Put in your full credentials (username@k12coffee.net, password)
>Be sure to check the boxes to sync email and calendar - You are done!

Apple iOS
'You may just want to use the Gmail app and use that to keep your mail separate. Please go to the app store and download the free Gmail app. Make sure it is the one that is made by Google. Here is the link. We recommend this method at this time.

The below instructions seem to work well with and iPad or iPod Touch. iPhone is having some issues. It may be because it is connected by the phone network instead of wifi.

To use the built in Mail app on your iPad or iPod Touch (you can try iPhone)
>Go to settings on the device
>Choose Mail,Contact,Calendars
>On the Right near the top choose Add Account...
>Choose Microsoft Exchange (not Gmail) funny, huh!
>Then Fill out the options as follows

Email - yourusername@k12coffee.net

Server - m.google.com - This may not be there at first but after you hit next  after you fill out the rest of the screen it will pop up  and then give you a chance to fill in the info

Skip Domain

Username - your username

Password - your password  (note if you ever change your password you will need to come back here and change it here as well

Description - Whatever you like maybe School, CCSS etc.

You can also download the official Gmail app from google if you like and use it instead of the native iOS app. Either works fine.
Make sure that you set Sync up for Mail, Calendar and Contacts.
